The first pillar to open in the Nashville Yards project, an ambitious mixed-use regeneration scheme spanning 18 acres, Grand Hyatt’s latest outpost sets a new standard for the city with 591 luxurious rooms and seven F&B venues.
Ever since real estate investment company Southwest Value Partners first unveiled its plans for Nashville Yards, a palpable sense of energy has been bubbling away in Music City. Now the excitement levels are set to reach boiling point with the arrival of the 25-storey Grand Hyatt Nashville.
The next generation of urban development
Slotted between Nashville’s dynamic downtown hub and The Gulch, an upscale neighbourhood known for its trendy fashion boutiques and restaurants, Nashville Yards has been billed as a new gateway to the city’s urban core, featuring over 1,000 residential units, 400,000 sq ft of retail and entertainment venues, and over 3.5 million sq ft of creative space – all anchored by Amazon’s office campus. More than 1,100 hotel rooms are also being proposed, of which 591 belong to Grand Hyatt Nashville.

A hotel design that cleverly draws on the past
Inside, the design subtly nods to the site’s 100-year history as a transportation hub with reference to the rail lines in large art installations and creative lobby seating that takes its cues from the lumber yard.
Meanwhile, the 591 rooms, which include 51 suites, feature floor-to-ceiling windows framing superb city views, and a quiet palette of timber panelling, hardwood floors and low-key concealed lighting, all enhanced by blackout blinds and luxury amenities such as Balmain bath products.
The hotel’s public spaces are vast. In addition to 77,000 sq ft of indoor event space (which includes the second-floor 200,000 sq ft Grand Hall), there are no fewer than seven F&B options, plus R+R Wellness, a luxury full-service spa. Here, guests will find an aromatherapy blending bar and an experience lounge, where they can get lost in the healing frequency of custom Wholetones rhythms and guided meditation.
Among the F&B highlights, meanwhile, are signature dining experience The Continental, helmed by James Beard Award-winning chef Sean Brock; and the 25th-floor Lou|Na, the city’s tallest rooftop lounge, serving an array of culinary creations amid breathtaking vistas.

Located within walking distance of the Nashville Convention Center, Country Music Hall of Fame and Bridgestone Arena, Grand Hyatt Nashville represents the first step in the next phase of the city’s regeneration.
