The coronavirus pandemic has had a shocking impact on countries worldwide. Majority of countries had imposed strict lockdown and had shut down their borders for overseas travelers. As the contamination rate of this virus started getting downward, few countries reopened their international borders to restart economic activities. This also kick-started the opportunities for recreational tourism, educational tourism, work tourism, medical tourism, etc.
For international travelers, some countries have strict guidelines while others now permitting free tourist flow from most countries. Somehow, if you are planning to take a trip outside India, you should be well aware of the places that now allow travelers from India.
Today, we have enlisted in this piece the countries that have reopened their international borders and accept Indian travelers.
India
At present, India has reopened international borders for all activities. Nevertheless, not all international flights have resumed their services here. There are only certain flights plying to and from India under the name of ‘Vande Bharat’ are being used to bring back Indian citizens from foreign countries and transporting citizens of other countries back to their countries. Also, these flights can be used for other purposes as well but special permission is needed to travel to other countries depending on their guidelines.
Taiwan
Taiwan has been quite good in handling the virus spread. The international borders have reopened for all movements to and from this country. Special permission for the visitors is not required for traveling to Taiwan. Even though, international tourists need 14 days quarantine before venturing outside. China
The origin of this pandemic supposedly has now successfully contained the contamination of coronavirus. In May 2020, the international borders have opened up. India too has resumed flights to and from China, at present to bring back strangulated Indian citizens as well as for tourism purposes.
Thailand
On July 1st, 2020, international flights for Thailand have started. However, this flight was specifically for Thai citizens. On September 1st, 2020, international borders have opened up to restart all financial and tourism activities. At present, there are no direct flights from India to Thailand.
