Completely refurbished Riu Buenavista welcomes back guests

The all-inclusive Riu Buenavista hotel in Tenerife has reopened to the public following a major revamp of its facilities to improve the overall guest experience.

The newly refurbished Riu Buenavista, a 542-room four-star hotel on the Canary Islands, is now open for guests once again. We find out more about this multifaceted regeneration scheme.

Riu’s commitment to quality

Set in Adeje in the south of Tenerife, this project highlights Riu’s commitment to maintaining its investment in the Canary Islands and continuously improving the quality of its offering in the popular tourist destination. The reopening also marks the completion of the renovation of its entire portfolio in Adeje; previously the exclusive Riu Palace Tenerife and adults-only Riu Arecas were also given facelifts.

It has been truly satisfying to finally be able to carry out this overhaul that makes the most of its potential and offers its staff and customers a more modern, comfortable and efficient environment to work in and enjoy.”

Riu Buenavista benefits from amazing sea views and proximity to natural landmarks such as the Teide National Park, the Adeje Massif and Barranco del Infierno Nature Reserve.

State-of-the-art entertainment

The resort will keep offering Riu’s signature 24-hour all-inclusive service, but will do so in a new and contemporary setting. The property is also more efficient and accessible, thanks to a radical change to both its indoor and outdoor spaces.

The reception is now larger and brighter with a spacious central plaza, which will act as the hotel’s beating heart. The main restaurant’s terrace has also been redone, and a new Italian restaurant added nearby. In order to provide a varied and captivating entertainment offering for guests, moreover, the stage for night-time performances has been redone.

In addition, the hotel’s outdoor area, which has terraces on several levels all the way down to the sea, now boasts six new pools and several sun decks. One pool is for adults only, another is an infinity pool with water loungers, and two more are inside a children’s zone close to Club RiuLand. And the area next to the adult pools is home to a new beach bar and a RiuFit zone for sports activities.

A light and airy design

Riu Buenavista’s rooms have also been given a makeover. The colour scheme has been changed to include soft, light tones that create a warm, comfortable feel – bold décor, elegant furnishings and accessible bathrooms complete the new design.

Last but not least, the refurbishment involved a substantial upgrade of the F&B programme. The reimagined resort boasts an Italian venue, an Asian eatery, a beach bar with grill and a poolside bar.
